A chiropractic adjustment (aka a manipulation) is a manual procedure in which the chiropractic physician uses his hands, and in some instances an instrument, to move a joint through its proper range of motion using quick high velocity low amplitude movements. Although performed mostly in the spine, it can be used to move most joints in the body that are not functioning properly. Chiropractors are highly trained to do these types of procedures and should NEVER be attempted by anybody not properly trained. Proper joint function is essential for pain free motion of the joint.
A chiropractic adjustment can help improve your overall health. As a Chiropractor in Henderson, Dr. Day treats the entire body as a whole unit. This is important to your overall health, not just the spine.

What To Expect From Our Chiropractic Clinic
Your initial visit to First Chiropractic will be similar to an initial visit at any doctor’s office. You will fill out our patient information form as well as a health history form. Many of our patients who are involved in an auto accident, will need to fill out an auto accident Questionnaire.
Next, our doctor will discuss the history of your condition, and perform a physical exam. The exam includes a range of assessments, which include neurological and orthopedic testing, muscle strength testing, range of motion testing, reflex testing and palpation. If needed, the doctor will take x-rays to further assess your condition.
After the doctor has all the information needed, and assigns a diagnosis, he will go over all his findings with you, and recommend a proper treatment plan so you can make an informed decision about your health.
